By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, straight into your own Stripe account – so no-shows have already paid.

They get their own code and unlock
Each booking's code appears on their unlock page from 15 minutes before the start, never by email or text. They lock up afterwards; the code stops working soon after the booking ends.

FAQ
Questions rental owners ask first
Which locks does Rentalbuddy work with – and do they need internet?
Igloohome padlocks and key boxes, usually the Padlock 2 and the Keybox 3. They run on batteries and check the code themselves, so they need no Wi-Fi or mains power. Only the renter's phone needs a signal, to open their unlock page.
What if a renter can't open the lock?
They contact you, not a call centre – and you can help from your phone. Read out their code from the booking, move them to another free lock or create a one-time code in the Igloohome app.
What stops theft or damage?
Each code opens your lock for one booking only, and the booking records the renter's name and phone number. You can require a signed rental agreement, an ID photo before the code appears (stored, not checked automatically) and photos at pick-up and return. Card deposits aren't supported.
What does Rentalbuddy cost?
From 299 SEK a month excl. VAT for one location with up to 6 locks – no commission, setup fee or minimum term. On top come Stripe's fee per payment, Igloohome's code fee of about 20 SEK per lock a month and the locks, bought once.
I don't rent anything out yet. What do I need to start?
Four things: something people near you pay to use, a place you're allowed to keep it, one digital lock per item or shared door, and a free Stripe account – not needed if you lend for free. You can make test bookings before buying a lock.
Does Rentalbuddy work outside Sweden – in Norway, Germany, the UK or the US?
Yes – wherever Stripe accepts businesses from your country. Rental businesses use Rentalbuddy in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and the UK, and in the US and Canada. Set prices in pounds, euros, dollars or any of 134 currencies; renters book in 12 languages.
